More Improvements Coming to Prospect Park

Playground

The playground selected was in direct response to the 386 patrons complete our survey. This playground was the overwhelming winner! We asked respondents to rank their top 3 choices out of 9 options. 67.7% chose this option as their #1 choice, and 93.8% chose it as one of their top 3 picks.

Construction of the expanded playground began on April 5, 2018 with an expected completion by the Memorial Day Holiday weekend.

UPDATE May 21, 2018 - The surfacing of the new playground is being installed beginning Tuesday, May 22. In order for this work to be completed properly, the construction fencing will encompass both playgrounds. Both playgrounds will be fenced in and inaccessible beginning Tuesday, May 22 though the afternoon of Friday, May 25. Thank you for your understanding while we complete this project!

Select portions of the Athletic field are being graded starting April 5, 2018. Work is ongoing as the weather allows for about 5 or 6 weeks with an expected completion by the Memorial Day Holiday Weekend. The grass in these areas will need time to grow, and it is anticipated will be available for play this fall.

During the construction, portions of the parking lot may be temporarily unavailable and some of the walkways will need to close intermittently.  We appreciate your patience during this time!
