Test your batting skills or practice for that big game in our state-of-the-art batting cages nestled at the back of Oakton Park, 2800 E. Oakton. Three speeds for hardball and two speeds for softball means no matter what your skill level we have just what you are looking for. Choose a bat that is the weight and length you desire from our selection or bring your own.

The PRRPD offers seven automated batting cages with slow to fast pitch machines to provide a challenge to any slugger. Beginners can choose to start out on the slow pitch machines and advance to higher levels with faster speed pitches. Batting machines are available for rentals or instructional training.

Baseball - Slow, Medium & Fast
Softball - Slow & Fast

FEES:
$1.00 per token (1 token = 16 balls)

BATTING CAGE RENTALS:
$20.00 for a 1/2 hour rental
$30.00 for an hour rental

Oakton Batting CageRules

• Batters MUST wear helmets with face mask protection at all times. No exceptions.

• Only one person in batting cages at a time during play.

• No switch hitting during play.

• Batters must wear shoes (no baseball-softball cleats).

• No person under the influence of drugs or alcohol is permitted to use the batting cages.

• Alert the attendant immediately if balls are throwing out of strike zone.

• Balls may be pitched at any time. BE ALERT at all times.

• No one under the age of 6 years old is permitted to use the batting cages.

• An adult must accompany all batting cage players under the age of 12.

• No one under the age of 16 is allowed to use the very fast cage.

• Close gates at all times after entering or exiting the cages.

• No practice swings outside of cages unless in designated areas.

• During or after play, do not pick up balls from ground. Do not throw balls at pitching machines.

• CAUTION! Injuries could result from the use of this device. Users should assume the inherent risks of batting baseballs and softballs. If users have any questions about the use of this device or the inherent risks associated with the use of this device, ask the attendant before using the batting cages.


The Batting Cages will not be open under the following conditions:

• Air temperature is 60 degrees or lower
• Visible Lightning or Thunder has been heard
• Wet Conditions
• Power Outage
• ThorGuard Warning Signal
• Mechanical Malfunction
