New Guidelines on Pool Rentals & Swimming Programs
In order to better serve our community, Park Ridge Park District has established some cost guidelines and restrictions in regards to renting our pool facilities or participating in our swimming programs.
These guidelines have been created to help keep our swimming facilities safe, clean and fun for both children and adults.
Pool Rentals & Parties
The fee for up to 25 guests for pool or party rentals is $100. Each additional guest beyond 25 will be charged an additional $5 entry, including each child and chaperone attending the party or pool rental area.
In order to keep our swimming facilities sanitary, any persons wearing street clothes will be restricted to the pool deck only, and will not be allowed to roam any other areas around the pool or swimming facility.
Swimming Lessons: Parents and Chaperones
Parents or chaperones who have a child participating in swim lessons will be allowed to wait in a restricted area on the pool deck during swim lessons, without charge. Street clothes will be allowed in this area while waiting for your child.
We hope that these guidelines help you prepare properly for your parties and classes. If you have any questions regarding these new guidelines above, please contact Park Ridge Park District at 847-692-5127.

New Safe Park
Zones
At the request of the Park District, the City of Park Ridge adopted
a Park Zone Streets and Speed Limits ordinance reflecting
the wishes of the Park Board of Commissioners. Board members
worked diligently on this project in order to continue
providing safe places for park users. Parks to be included
were coordinated by the Public Works Committee, Public
Works Department and the Park Ridge Recreation and Park
District.
This intergovernmental
cooperation allows the Park District to set safety standards
for areas in and around park property. The ordinance specifies
that on any day when children are present and within fifty
(50) feet of motorized traffic, no person shall drive a
motor vehicle at a speed in excess of twenty (20) miles
per hour or any lower posted speed limit while traveling
on a park zone street. Any person failing to come to a
complete stop at a stop sign or red light while traveling
on a park zone street or intersection before turning right
onto a park zone street will be fined. Failing to comply
with the new ordinance will result in fines up to $500.
Parks designated to be
in twenty (20) miles per hour zones, or any lower posted
speed limits, are: Northwest Park, Woodland Park, Jaycee
Park and Centennial Park.
Designated park zone streets
include:
Seminary – Touhy
to Des Plaines
Western – Touhy
to Crescent
Washington – Granville
to Glenlake
Granville – east
from Washington to dead end
Dee Road – Manor
to Glenview
Glenview – Dee Road
to Northwest Highway
Manor – from Dee
Road to 175’ west
Western – Poplar
to Greendale
Poplar – Parkside
to Western
Parkside – Poplar
to Glenview
We ask our residents to
abide by the new ruling–helping us make our parks
and streets safe for all.
