Halloween Costume Exchange - Drop Off

Exchange or donate last year’s vampire costume for a baseball player; or switch from a monkey to a princess. Bring your gently used child, adult, or pet costumes and accessories to the Maine Park Leisure Center on September 15 or 22 and receive a “Costume Exchange Voucher.” Come back on October 6 with your voucher and shop for a new-to-you costume. Please note that we cannot guarantee you will find something for your voucher and cannot guarantee the return of your donated costume. Costumes are subject to availability and are firstcome, first-serve. Sizes and styles vary.

Saturday, October 6 at Maine Park Leisure Center Gymnasium
9:00am-Noon (Customers with vouchers only)
12:30pm-2:00pm (Open to all shoppers - $5 per costume)

Candidate Packets for the April 2, 2019 Consolidated Election Now Available

Candidate Packets are now available for persons who wish to run for office of Park Board Commissioner in the April 2, 2019 Consolidated Election. The Candidate Packet is available for pick-up at Prospect Park – Wohler’s Hall, Maryanne Lucarz, 733 N. Prospect Avenue during normal business hours, Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm. Packets are provided as a courtesy; candidates are not required or obligated to use the information provided and should seek the advice and direction of their own personal attorney. The Park Ridge Park District is unable to provide any legal advice.

Santee Named Ice Sports Industry’s 2018 Man of the Year

At the annual Ice Sports Industry (ISI) awards luncheon held on Thursday, June 7 at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Oakbrook, David Santee was presented with the prestigious ISI Man of the Year Award. The Man of the Year Award honors someone who has made significant contributions to the ISI and its programs and purposes during the past year. Santee is also the Skating Director at the Park District's Oakton Ice Arena.

Prospect Park Playground Opens

The new playground at Prospect Park was officially opened with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Tuesday, May 29. Thank you to all who came out to celebrate with us! Stop by to play! The park is located next to the Splash Pad at 733 N. Prospect Ave.

Brickton Art Center and the Park Ridge Park District Announce New Partnership

Brickton Art Center and the Park Ridge Park District are excited to announce a new partnership between the two organizations to advance arts in the Park Ridge community. Beginning in Fall 2018, the majority of Brickton Art Center classes will be held at the Park Ridge Park District’s Centennial Activity Center, located at 100 S. Western Ave. This move will allow expanded art programming opportunities for both the Park Ridge Park District and the Brickton Art Center.
