Effective Friday, June 11, all indoor and outdoor facilities return to 100% occupancy!
See below for details.
We are so excited that the State has moved to Phase 5 of the Restore Illinois plan! Throughout the pandemic, the District has continuously evaluated, adjusted, and implemented programs and operations with each new phase based on the latest mitigation guidelines and guidance provided by our regulatory agencies with one goal in mind: to keep our community safe while providing as many recreational opportunities as allowable. As we head into Phase 5 this summer, we are thrilled to continue providing you the top-notch programs, services, and facilities you have come to expect from the Park Ridge Park District. We are so proud of our entire team who have gone above and beyond to meet these challenges and support our community. And, thank YOU for your continued patience and support as we navigated this pandemic together.
For your reference, you may view the Governor's Phase 5 Announcement by clicking here.
While many of the Park District’s operations continue to return to “normal” with the Phase 5 announcement, there are a few mitigations still in place by our governing agencies, specifically Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH), American Camp Association (ACA), and Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS). Please review our Phase 5 operational plan below.
FACE COVERINGS / MASKS
• Face coverings are optional for fully-vaccinated individuals, except as specified below.
• When indoors, face coverings are required for individuals who have not been fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Exceptions continue for those with qualified medical conditions and those under 2 years of age.
• When outdoors, unvaccinated individuals may choose not to wear a face covering when able to maintain a six-foot social distance.
• Individuals who are immunocompromised should consider continuing to wear face coverings both indoors and outdoors.
• Face coverings continue to be required for bus transportation.
• For programs that include children under age 12, face coverings must continue to be worn by staff, participants, and parents (including those who are fully vaccinated) in accordance with CDC guidance. This is to protect individuals
ineligible for vaccination and includes all preschool and school-age camps, as well as other indoor youth programs. Mask will not be worn outdoors when able to maintain 6ft of social distance.
• All patrons, fully-vaccinated or not, will need to continue to monitor their symptoms for COVID-19 and refrain from visiting any of our facilities or participating in programs when they have symptoms. Please review our self-screener prior to each visit.
