Animal Encounters

Enjoy an exclusive socially distant half-hour visit to Wildwood Nature Center! Say hello to our Animal Ambassadors and feed and interact with an animal of your choice. For the safety of the animals, other guests, and staff, visiting families are only able to physically interact with their chosen animal, but they are welcome to view the rest of the Animal Room and ask questions about any of our other residents. Registration closes the Wednesday prior to the visit to allow time for organizing Animal Interactions. Animal choices are determined on a first come basis via email and finalized on Friday before your adventure. The facility common areas are sanitized between each family visit and masks are required to enter the building. Guests are required to comply with social distancing guidelines, and only one household is allowed per time slot.

Lawn Care Practice Special Meeting

The Park Ridge Park District is committed to ensuring the public is safe in all that we do. Recently, we have become aware that questions have come up about some of the lawn care products we are using.

It is our responsibility to be transparent and provide education about the District’s business. President Harrington stated, “to devote the appropriate amount of time to the issue, as current Board President, it is my intention to call a Special Board Meeting on November 14th to discuss our current District lawn care practices. A special meeting will give this subject matter the time and transparency it deserves.” We welcome anyone who would like to learn more about this topic to join us on November 14 at 7:00pm.
