Programs

We engage all players no matter their skill level. Our coaching technique provides basic building blocks in a fun, safe environment. Players keep moving and learning, even while in the dugout! Mechanics and hand-eye coordination are the keys to early success. Players become more confident as we work on the proper mechanics of catching, throwing, fielding, base running, and batting. This program prepares players for level II, t-ball, or coach pitch leagues.

This instructional basketball program gives players their first team experience as we focus on working together while improving each player's individual skills. We create 4-8 teams of 10 players. Each team has a rotating schedule and plays a one-hour game within the four-hour designated time. Each player receives a team jersey, schedule, and participation award. Our goal is to get these players off to the right start!

This league is gives players their first opportunity to be involved with baseball as a team sport. Each player is assigned to a team scheduled to play a game for either the first or second hour of the class. While the focus is on playing games, having fun, and learning the rules, we emphasize the mechanics of throwing, fielding, base-running, and batting. Every player gets to play each position, as teams are kept small so there is no sitting while players are in the field defensively. Each player receives team hat, jersey, and trophy. General Information All participants will receive a team jersey. Registration Information Registration September 3 at 8:30am. Please register your child by grade and gender. Coaches Registration Information Returning coaches will be emailed the forms needed to sign up to coach a team. If you did not coach last season and are interested in forming a team, please email Jim Dihu at jdihu@prparks.org . Please sign up to coach by September 20. Practices Each team has a 1 hour assigned time per week, Mondays through Fridays from 5:30pm-9:30pm. The coaches choose the practice day and time that is convenient for their schedule. Games Teams play one game per weekend. Saturdays between 9:00am-9:00pm or Sundays between Noon-9:00pm. Sections & Details

This league allows the boys to form their own team. 11th and 12th grade teams are not allowed to practice unless they have an adult volunteer coach who attends all practices and games. 9th and 10th Grade Boys teams are required to have an adult Head Coach. Players register individually for this league. Team captains are allowed to request 8 players and then are assigned additional free agents to round out the team. Email player requests to Jim Dihu at jdihu@prparks.org by December 9. All high school boys will receive an email during winter break to inform them of their team assignments and schedules.
