M-NASR, Maine Niles Association of Special Recreation, serves children, teens, adults and seniors with physical, mental and emotional disabilities and their families through community recreation agencies.
From aquatics, to camps, to special events; M-NASR provides a wide range of recreation and leisure programs for people of every age, ability and interest in our service area. We also offer inclusion services to anyone who needs assistance to participate in programs offered by member agencies.
M-NASR is an extension of seven member park districts: Park Ridge, Morton Grove, Des Plaines, Golf-Maine, Lincolnwood, Niles, and Skokie. These agencies provide financial support for M-NASR to offer individuals with disabilities the opportunity to participate in recreational and leisure programs.
M-NASR and our member agencies believe that all individuals should be provided with leisure opportunities that allow for performance at their highest level of ability. Although many people achieve this through participation in a M-NASR program, others have greater success in an activity held in their own recreation agency.
We adhere to the following principles when providing accommodations to allow for successful inclusion for individuals with disabilities in the activities of member recreation agencies: The interests and needs of an individual participant will be met and the concerns of the family taken into account. M-NASR will support the member agency staff and options and choices will be available for individuals with disabilities.

Individuals with Hearing Impairments
M-NASR has a relay system for individuals with hearing impairments who use TDDs. Information from all member park districts, including the Park Ridge Park District, is on file at the M-NASR office. This will enable us to answer any questions a resident may have regarding park district programs. Please call the M-NASR office at 847-966-5522 (voice), or the TDD number at 847-966-8897 with your questions.
