Join Ascension Dance Company! We’re looking for passionate dancers to join our competitive dance and performance team. About Us: Ascension Dance Company is a premier competitive and performance team affiliated with the Park Ridge Park District’s Dance Program. Our dancers receive top-tier training in a supportive and inspiring environment. Audition Details: Date: May 17 Time: 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM Location: Maine Park Leisure Center, 2701 W. What to Prepare: • Attire: Dancers must wear movable, active dancewear suitable for auditions. • Hydration: Bring a water bottle to stay refreshed. • Audition Requirements: Dancers must be prepared to learn and perform a short routine in front of a panel of company judges. This beginner ballet and tap class incorporates steps and terminology with fairytale music. Participants use tiaras, wands, and horses.

This free-flowing form of dance links ballet to jazz and teaches dancers to feel the music and move with the beat.

Sections & Details

The combination classes (i.e. Ballet/Tap, Jazz/Tap) teach skills from the various disciplines to develop a well-rounded dancer. Technique and terminology are taught. Please bring dance shoes for each type of dance to all classes.
