In this class, participants will learn to recognize and respond appropriately to cardiac, breathing, and first aid emergencies; and to know how to care for a suddenly injured or ill person until more advanced medical personnel arrive and take over. Program includes the cost of a Certified Instructor, a digital certification card and CEU. Participants should wear comfortable clothes, bring lunch and something to drink. Participants learn how to care for a choking infant or child, basic first aid, personal safety, injury prevention, childcare, how to prevent problem behavior, behavior management, ethics, and babysitting as a business. Beginners learn how to start, stop, turn, basic ramp riding, and tricks; intermediate skaters learn skills based on ability. Skaters must bring a drink and wear a helmet.
