Older kids will dive into the mysterious side of Halloween as they create spooky (but not too scary!) works of art. From eerie ghosts to mischievous goblins. Participants will experiment with different techniques and materials to bring their haunted visions to life. A creative way to celebrate the season with just the right amount of spooky fun!

Get into the Halloween spirit with a wearable art project! In this workshop, participants will design and decorate their own Halloween-themed trucker hats using patches, and spooky embellishments. Whether it's pumpkins, ghosts, or goblins, you'll leave with a one- of- a- kind creation to show off all season long. Includes up to 5 patches, chains and other embellishments.

Step into the world of special effects makeup! In this Halloween-themed workshop, students will learn the basics of creating creepy cuts, bruises and other simple SFX looks using fake blood and makeup techniques. Each participant will practice making a realistic cut on their arm and explore other spooky makeup effects perfect for costumes. Students will also complete a second hands- on Halloween project to take home.

Whether you are an avid gardener or just beginning to explore your interest in gardening, garden plots are available to you this spring. Each garden plot is 4'x16'. The community gardens are available daily from dawn-dusk, May 1-October 31. The cost of the plots is $40 per person. Due to the limited availability of spaces and interest in plots, registration is a lottery system open only to Park Ridge residents, age 18 & older. Payment is not required until lottery entries are selected. Lottery takes place on Tuesday, April 1.

Have fun learning how to hop, shuffle, Heel - Step in this beginner tap class. We will focus on physical alignment, rhythm, simple dance technique and having fun. Dancers are encouraged to wear comfortable clothes (No Jeans) and tap shoes.
