Munch and crunch your lunch in the Ridge Room with us. After you finish eating, relax and play in our room until it’s time to go to your next class. Teachers escort children to their afternoon programs.

Playtime Pals is an all-day option for our Maine Park Preschool students. Students start their day in our morning play group filled with friends, fun and most importantly, PLAY! At 11:30am, teachers will transport children to their enrichment class to have lunch and enjoy an afternoon of specialty classes before their afternoon preschool class. This program is for our 3 and 4 year old preschool classes only. Playtime Pals participants must be enrolled in an enrichment class and an afternoon preschool class.

Sections & Details

Scout troops, community groups, school groups, church groups, and individuals - help clean up our environment! We will meet at the front of the Maine Park Leisure Center at the flagpole at 4:30pm and walk together down Sibley to the Des Plaines River, where we’ll pick up the unwanted litter. Garbage bags and rubber gloves are provided. Due to group size limitations, everyone attending must register. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Dress in your finest Taylor Swift-inspired Style and join us for an evening filled with singing and dancing to a mix of your favorite Taylor Swift tunes. I Can See You making Bejeweled bracelets, capture lasting memories in our photo area. Become a Superstar with a Gorgeous makeover. Hairstyling, makeup, and nail services provided by Glitzy Girls. Indulge in Swifty-themed snacks and beverages. The grand finale is set to amaze you with a live performance by "Are You Ready For It," a tribute artist celebrating the music of Taylor Swift. Get set for a night that Hits Different! Fee is per person.

Come to Wildwood for the Gone Fishin' Derby at the Maine Park ponds. Registration fee includes bait (wax worms or night crawlers) and all participants receive a goody bag. Registrants must bring their own poles, and there are a few poles available at Wildwood to check out if needed. There are three different age groups: 4 years and younger, 5-8 years, and 9-15 years. Each group has its own 60- or 90-minute fishing session. Please arrive 15 minutes prior the start time to check in. Prizes and trophies are awarded for the largest fish, the smallest fish, the most fish caught, and for special catches in each age group at the end of their fishing time. If you have children in multiple age groups, you can all fish at the earliest time. Ages 2-12 must be accompanied by an adult. Please arrive 15 minutes prior the start time to check in.
