Pond Dippers
Have fun as a family discovering what lurks beneath the surface of the pond! Dip and scoop with nets to catch lots of critters and maybe a few tadpoles.
2022 Oakton Ice Show: S.S. Oakton
The annual Oakton Ice Show is a spectacular showcase of all our skaters - from our youngest tot students through our young adult and adult skaters. Their impressive performances are a culmination of the skills learned and practiced throughout the year. It is a show sure to delight audience members of all ages!
Pedals for the Parks Bike & Trike Sale
The 8th Annual Pedals for the Parks Bike & Trike Sale, hosted by the Park Ridge Friends of the Parks, benefits programs of the Park Ridge Friends of the Parks and promotes reuse and bicycling in our community!

Royal Princess Tea & Fashion Show
It's a Royal Tea Party and all the princesses are invited! Dress in your princess best for our royal fashion show. A special guest will be on hand to walk down the fashion runway with you to strike that special pose!
For the Birds
Create welcoming spaces in your yard with upcycled bird feeders and bird baths. Use recycled and unusual items, like bottles and tea cups, to create works of art that our feathered friends will love.
Park Board Regular Meeting
Park Ridge Park District Board Meetings are held on the first and third Thursday of each month at 7:00pm. Due to the pandemic, the meetings are currently being held virtually. The public is invited to also attend virtually. A link to register as a meeting attendee is released here at least 48 hours prior to the meeting.

The entire family will enjoy the peaceful night air while sitting around a fire listening to stories, singing songs, and making everyone’s favorite – s’mores!
Des Plaines River Clean Up
Scout troops, community groups, school groups, church groups, and individuals - help clean up our environment! We will meet at the front of the Maine Park Leisure Center at the flagpole at 4:00pm and walk together down Sibley to the Des Plaines River, where we’ll pick up the unwanted litter.

Backyard Campout
Camp out with your family in the Park District’s backyard, outside at the Wildwood Nature Center. Enjoy a campfire dinner and s'mores on Friday night and breakfast on Saturday morning.
