The Oakton Ice Arena is a 200’ x 85’ regulation size, award-winning ice arena. Any level of skater will enjoy our arena during public skating hours. Looking to take things a step further? We have the right class for you! Our introductory figure skating, Competitive Edge elite skating, and developmental hockey programs are known as some of the finest in the Chicagoland area. With a long history of Olympic and World Class skaters and coaches Oakton Ice Arena can meet all of your expectations.

EFFECTIVE FEBRUARY 28, 2022- Masks will no longer be required in all indoor public places. Furthermore, proof of vaccination for patrons will no longer be required. Although no longer required, if you are not up-to-date with your COVID-19 vaccines and ages 2 or older, CDC recommends wearing a mask indoors in public.

Public Skate Hours & Rates

Enjoy Oakton Ice Arena public skate during these times from August 22, 2022 - December 31, 2022.

Daily Admission: $6 per skater

Day Hours
Monday - Friday  11:00am-12:00pm
Friday 6:00pm-7:00pm
Saturday 1:00pm-2:00pm
Sunday 1:00pm-2:00pm

 

Please note that we are a "cashless" facility! Credit/Debit cards only (Visa/Mastercard/Discover) will be accepted for admission and skate rental.

Enjoy these public times on ice with friends or family. Coupons and punch cards are currently VOID and are not being accepted for admission. Oakton Ice Arena reserves the right to cancel any public skating session for special events. We apologize for any inconvenience!

Skate Rental

Skate rentals are available. Supplies are limited. Fee: $3

Senior Skate Hours

We are currently not offering Senior Skate Sessions. Thank you for your understanding!

Public Skate Season Passes

Skating Passes are now on sale for 2022! Passes will be valid January 1 - December 31, 2022. Purchase your pass online HERE. Once you have purchased your pass, you can pick it up in the Oakton office by emailing oaktonicearena@prparks.org.

  • Residents: $65 first family member / $35 additional
  • Non-Residents: $95 first family member / $55 additional

Staff

Our coaching staff includes more than 40 professional instructors, trained and certified to teach all levels to all ages, including David Santee, World Silver Medalist, two-time Olympian, and 2015 US Figure Skating and ISI Hall of Fame inductee, as our Competitive Skating Director, private coach and group instructor.
