Thank you for your participation and loyalty as we navigate these challenging times! We are so excited that in-person Group Fitness classes are back! Many in-person classes will be offered simultaneously with virtual classes, please select the correct option when reserving your spot. Virtual only Group Fitness Classes will also continue to be offered.

To participate in group fitness classes, you will need to purchase a class pass if you don't currently have one. Class passes are available for a single class, or you can purchase a pass with 10 classes included. When you check-in onsite at the class, your pass will be deducted for your participation in class. Fees for Class Passes are as follows:

Virtual Group Fitness Classes

Keep moving with your favorite instructors and formats! Reserve your space on GroupExPro and be sure to have class passes on your account.  

  • Sign up for the specific class(es) you would like to attend using our GroupExPro system
  • Classes are presented using Zoom. If you do not have Zoom, you can download the free app to your computer, laptop, tablet, or smartphone. You do not need to create a Zoom account.
  • We will do our best to email the Zoom link for the class within 30 minutes of the class start time. The class link will be emailed to you at the email addressed you used for GroupExPro. If you do not receive the link, please contact Kathy DiPietro at kdfitnessdirector@gmail.com and/or both Amy Murrin at amurrin@prparks.org and Justin Schuring at jschuring@prparks.org.
  • To help us manage participation, your device must have your first name and the first initial of your last name. If we cannot confirm your name and if you are registered for the class, you are subject to removal from the Zoom session.
  • Do not share the Zoom link with others. All participants must be registered through the Park Ridge Park District's GroupExPro system. Those that have not registered through Park Ridge Park District will not be allowed to participate in the class.
  • Everyone registered for the class in GroupExPro will have a class deducted from the their class pass purchased from the Park District.
  • Each class must have at least 10 participants registered in advance to run. Classes not meeting the minimums will be canceled up to 2 hours before the start of class.
  • If you do not cancel at least 2 hours before class starts and do not show for a class, your account will be deducted for a fitness class.
  • Prepare for class! Have a designated workout space planned, a towel or mat, water, and any equipment that you will need for class ready prior to the start of class to ensure you get the best fitness experience.
  • Please be on time. The warm-up is an important component and prepares your body for exercise by increasing circulation to the muscles.
  • All classes are non-refundable and non-transferable to others. 
  • Schedule and instructors are subject to change.

For In-person Classes:

  • As you approach the facility, please wait at the safe 6-ft. socially distanced markings on the ground.

  • When it is your turn to check in, staff will ask you if you have a fever, cold/flu like symptoms, or cough.

  • You must wear a face covering at all times, including while exercising. Exceptions can be made for people with medical conditions or disabilities that prevent them from safely wearing a face covering.
  • Because space is limited, reservations will be required for all group fitness classes. Click here to learn how to access our online reservation system to secure your spot through the Group Ex Pro software system.  
  • Because space is limited, each class must have at least 10 participants registered in advance to run. Classes not meeting the minimums will be canceled up to 2 hours before the start of class.
  • If you make a reservation and decide to cancel, you can cancel up to 2 hours before the start of the class without penalty.
  • If you do not cancel at least 2 hours before class starts and do not show for a class, your account will be deducted for a fitness class.
  • If on March 12, 2020 you had a group fitness package with class passes remaining on it, we have extended your pass an additional six months to allow you time to participate in group fitness classes.
  • If you have a platinum or unlimited group fitness pass, due to the limited schedule and smaller class sizes, we currently are not offering these membership options. Your billing will also continue to be placed on hold. We have placed credits on your account for the closure of March 13-31, 2020. You may apply this credit to a single class pass or package of 10 classes.
  • At this time, only packages of 10 group fitness classes and/or single class purchases are being sold.
  • Locker Rooms are available. However, we recommend you dress for your workout. 
  • Towel service has been suspended at this time, please bring your own towel.
  • We will not be providing fitness mats at this time. Please bring your own towel or mat.
  • Please bring a water bottle; drinking fountains are not available.

What to Bring to Class:

  • ​Your own weights/bands if you would like. We will have them available if you are comfortable using ours, and will provide wipes for you to disinfect your equipment before and after class.

To participate in a Group Fitness class, you will need to do two things:

First, an advance reservation is required for each single class you would like to attend in order to reserve your spot in the class. You can reserve your spot using the Group Ex Pro schedule below. Scroll down to the class you would like to take, and click on the Sign Up link (or you can click on the square with the pencil icon next to the class title). The first time you use this system, you will need to create a login with your name, email, and a password. If you do not have a user name and password for our online registration system, staff will need to create a household account for you. Please complete the family information form and email it to recreation@prparks.org. Our customer service staff will set up your household account for the registration system to purchase passes using your email as your username. If you are Park Ridge Park District resident, you will need to provide proof of residency documentation for each person (over the age of 2 yrs) in your household. Documents accepted are listed on the family information form. Just take a photo or scan the document and include it in your email to recreation@prparks.org.
