Pull up a chair and enjoy an afternoon filled with southern charm and tasty bites! Sample favorites inspired by the South while sharing good conversation, music, and the comforting flavors that make southern cooking unforgettable. Enjoy a toe-tapping afternoon filled with an assortment of styles and genres of music from classic country, bluegrass, to 50’s Rock ‘n Roll by the Don Morman Family Band. Lunch on buttermilk fried chicken, baked cheddar mac and cheese, creamed corn and cornbread with honey butter. Registration deadline: Jul 27. CAC

Healthy Living for Your Brain & Body: Tips from the Latest Research With the Alzheimer’s Association, Greater Illinois Chapter Healthy Living: For centuries, we’ve known that the health of the brain and the body are connected. But now, science is able to provide insights into how to make lifestyle choices that may help you keep your brain and body healthy as you age. Join us to learn about research in the areas of diet and nutrition, exercise, cognitive activity and social engagement, and hands-on tools to help you incorporate these recommendations into a plan for healthy aging. This is a free program, but registration is requested. There is a $2 drop in for non-members.

This class will help you reduce your car insurance and meets every month the last Tuesday and Thursday of the month from 9am-1pm. Both days of class are required. Please call the Centennial Activity Center at 847-692-3597 to register. Registration is required.

Arthritis – Knees & Shoulders With the Foundation for Wellness Professionals Many forms of arthritis and related conditions affect the joints, muscles and/or bones and can cause problems like pain, stiffness and swelling in the shoulders.
