2230202 / STAR AARP Driver's Class
This eight-hour, two-day course is for motorists age 55 and older. It focuses on the physical changes that accompany aging and on ways older adult drivers can compensate for these changes to improve their driving skills. After taking this course you will be eligible for a multi-year discount on your car insurance! Fee is $20 for AARP members and $25 for non-AARP members to be paid on the first day of class to AARP. Make checks payable to AARP. Credit cards will not be accepted. Registration and attendance on both days is required. CAC

This Adult Education presentation will be led by Eric Klein, an experienced Patient Advocate, Care Manager, and Certified Senior Advisor who has helped thousands of seniors and families navigate the complexities of aging and care decisions. Eric brings deep expertise in movement disorders such as Parkinson’s disease, Multiple Sclerosis (MS), and related neurological conditions that affect mobility, balance, independence, and daily quality of life. In this presentation, Eric will help attendees better understand movement disorders and how to plan proactively. Key topics being covered include, early signs and progression of common movement disorders, therapy, rehabilitation, and care planning options, assisted living vs. skilled nursing, & local resources available to families in our community. Ask questions and gain clarity about navigating movement disorders with confidence and dignity.
