Daily Fee

$4 resident / $7 non-resident for a 1.5 hour time slot

  • Every person entering the facility must pay the entrance fee starting at 12 months of age, 11 months and under are free.
  • Proof of residency is required to receive resident rates
  • Persons younger than 9 years of age must be accompanied by a responsible person 16 years or older.

Resident registration will be completed on our website at with activity code 4210314. Due to social distancing restrictions, a limited number of 40 people will be admitted into the facility during each session.

We will release registration on Wednesdays for the upcoming week in an effort to give the maximum number of families the opportunity to register.

You may sign up for as many days as you wish, but please only sign up for one session per day. Reservations must be paid for at the time of registration. If you wish to visit more than once per day, please check with staff on the day of to see if spots are available later in the day and pay in person for additional time.

Our residents continue to be our first priority at the Park District, and will be allowed priority reservations and will pay a lower fee than non-residents. Non-residents will have the ability to use the facility, but will pay the daily rate as a drop-in at the facility if spots are available. Due to a past grant received from the State of Illinois for the Prospect Park Splash Pad, the Park District is required to accommodate non-residents.

The Park District wants to make sure the maximum number of people is met as often as possible to ensure the best financial outcome of having the facility open during this shortened season. Therefore, if all allowable spots aren’t reserved, we will accept at-the-door reservations to fill any available spots.

Please note that the facility will operate cashless; Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and Park District Gift Cards will be accepted.

Weather Policy

Opening and closing of the pool is subject to prevailing weather conditions, including cold weather (temperature at 68 degrees or below) electrical or thunder storms, or heavy rain. Or, if there are no guests for two hours at the Prospect Park Splash Pad.

Facility Rentals

Private rentals at the Prospect Park Splash Pad are available 7 days a week from 6:00pm-7:30pm. Private rentals are for groups of 40 or less and the fee is $200 resident/$280 non-resident. Rentals are currently available for the month of July, and priority registration opens Monday, June 29 for residents online at our website at with activity code 4210317. Rental registration will open for non-residents on July 9. Private Splash Pad rentals may add on a private room rental at the Paula Hassell O’Connor Community Building, or you may also rent the Prospect Park Pavilion. Ask for details.
