Brickton Art Center and the Park Ridge Park District Announce New Partnership

Brickton Art Center and the Park Ridge Park District are excited to announce a new partnership between the two organizations to advance arts in the Park Ridge community. Beginning in Fall 2018, the majority of Brickton Art Center classes will be held at the Park Ridge Park District’s Centennial Activity Center, located at 100 S. Western Ave. This move will allow expanded art programming opportunities for both the Park Ridge Park District and the Brickton Art Center.

The purpose of the Outstanding Facility & Park Award is to recognize public agencies for their exceptional and unique achievements in design and development.

Park Ridge Park District Receives GFOA Finance Award

The Park Ridge Park District has received the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting by Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) for its comprehensive annual financial report (CAFR). The award is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting. Its attainment represents a significant accomplishment by the Park District and its management. This is the 35th consecutive year the Park District has received the award.

To celebrate summer, the Park District has launched a 12-week campaign - Unplug Park Ridge, which is part of a larger Unplug Illinois campaign. Throughout the summer, we will share how our staff and Board unplugs with the Park Ridge Park District, profiles of places you can unplug with the Park District, and benefits of parks and recreation. We also want to see how you unplug with the Park Ridge Park District! Share a photo or video on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram with the hashtag#UnplugParkRidge. Each week, we will randomly select someone to receive a great prize from the Park District. So, get out there and show us "What's Your Outlet?".

The Park District is looking for enthusiastic, engaged residents to serve on two Citizen Advisory Councils. If you want to make a difference in your community, apply to serve as a member of the S.T.A.R. (Seniors Together At Recreation) Advisory Council or the Finance Advisory Council. New Registration System Launchs April 4

The new registration system is now live! This launch is part of a continued effort to streamline processes and improve efficiency. We thank you for your patience and we navigate this process together. The new system will offer more flexibility and provide a better membership and program registration experience for our participants.

If you have bookmarked the registration page in the past, you will need to update it to the new site.

As part of this process, we are asking all households to update their record as well as show proof of residency to continue to receive resident rates.
