Hey, batter, batter! Test your batting skills or practice for a big game in one of our state-of-the-art batting cages nestled at the back of Oakton Park.

Fee

$1 per token
(1 token = 16 balls)

10 Sessions (160 Pitches): $8
Season Pass: $100
Maximum of 5 hitting sessions per day.  Tokens are distributed at cashier's booth.

Hours of Operation

Monday-Friday 4-7pm

Weekends 10am-6pm

Cages will close if air temperature is below 60 degrees or if wet conditions occur.

Amenities

Three speeds for hardball and two speeds for softball means no matter what your skill level, we have just what you’re looking for. Bring your own bat or choose from our selection. Batting machines are also available for rent or instructional training.

Practices, Rentals & Parties

Bring your team for practice, or host a party at Oakton Batting Cages. Cages can be rented for team practices at $25/hour per tunnel or $85/hour for four tunnels. Call Oakton Sports Complex at 847-692-3359 to reserve your time. Click here to download a Party Inquiry Form.

Policies and Rules

  • Batters MUST wear helmets at all times. No exceptions.
  • Only one person in batting cages at a time during play.
  • No switch hitting during play.
  • Batters must wear shoes (no baseball-softball cleats).
  • No person under the influence of drugs or alcohol is permitted to use the batting cages.
  • Alert the attendant immediately if balls are throwing out of strike zone.
  • Balls may be pitched at any time. BE ALERT at all times.
  • No one under the age of 6 years old is permitted to use the batting cages.
  • An adult must accompany all batting cage players under the age of 12.
  • No one under the age of 16 is allowed to use the very fast cage.
  • Close gates at all times after entering or exiting the cages.
  • No practice swings outside of cages unless in designated areas.
  • During or after play, do not pick up balls from ground. Do not throw balls at pitching machines.
  • CAUTION! Injuries could result from the use of this device. Users should assume the inherent risks of batting baseballs and softballs. If users have any questions about the use of this device or the inherent risks associated with the use of this device, ask the attendant before using the batting cages.

The Batting Cages will not be open under the following conditions:

  • Air temperature is 60 degrees or lower
  • Visible Lightning or Thunder has been heard
  • Wet Conditions
  • Power Outage
  • ThorGuard Warning Signal
  • Mechanical Malfunction
