The Park Ridge Park District follows the Illinois Flag Display Act. We receive alerts from the Illinois Governor's office regarding when the flag is to fly at half-staff. One of these reasons is to honor every fallen Illinois soldier. When this occurs, we are to fly the American flag at half-staff from sunrise to sunset on the day of the funeral and the two days preceding that day.
